Gareth Buckley

Based in Taunton and overseeing the office’s specialist insolvency practice, I joined Monahans as part of the partnership with The Insolvency Company, where I had been for 6 years with Stephanie. I take enormous satisfaction from keeping business owners in business by advising them on how they can deal with financial challenges, and working with them to solve issues.

I enjoy working with systems and processes, and am in my element when it comes to using these to make life easier for everyone.

I became an Insolvency Practitioner in 2014 and I am a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association, The Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3), and am a fellow member of The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).

My background

My career started in debt recovery and I began working my way up, gaining qualifications in accountancy and insolvency.

Ultimately taking on responsibility for a large insolvency practice specialising in both personal and corporate insolvency.

I have consulted for a range of large financial services firms and set up insolvency practices for others before founding my own.

In my spare time, I am a member of Taunton Round Table, regularly raising money for local charities, and enjoy walking our dog, keeping fit, playing golf, watching physics podcasts, and spending time with our four children. I have also completed 10 skydives and would love to do more.
