James Gare

I provide audit and other business services to a large range of not for profit entities.

This means that I get the opportunity to help Charities, Academy Schools, Trusts and Associations. My experience of working with Trusts also led me to qualify as a Probate Practitioner and I have been providing non-contentious probate services since 2018.

My background

I have been specialising with not for profit clients since 1999, and completed my training with one of the Big Four in 2002.

I joined Monahans from another Mid-Tier firm where I co-led a specialist team in London and Chelmsford, working with around 90 public sector and not for profit organisations.

I hold the Diploma in Charity Accounting and I have lectured at Bayes Business School on their MSc in Charity Finance.

In my spare time I am the Treasurer to a number of charities, which gives me first-hand experience into what it means to govern a not for profit organisation.
