Simon Nuttall

Based in the Cirencester office, I act as a guiding professional hand for clients, advising on a range of financial processes from starting and developing a business through to exit strategies; whatever our clients need. I have worked extensively with owner managed businesses across a range of sectors, notably agriculture, construction, property development, retail and engineering, helping them to achieve their business goals.

Having joined McGills more than 30 years ago, I guided the firm through computerisation and then steady development over three decades, and find it extremely rewarding to support clients with similar growth strategies in an age when there is a shortage of consistent advice.

My background

I joined McGills in 1992 after qualifying with regional Bath firm Pearson May. Away from practice life I am fascinated by all things mechanical – from steam engines to classic and vintage cars. It is not unusual to find me in my workshop in the evenings making up parts on my lathe or repairing an old vehicle.
