We raised funds for local charity at Fairford’s Steam, Classic & Retro Show

Fairford’s annual Steam, Classic & Retro Show once again drew large crowds last weekend, with steam engines gathering in the Market Place for a three-day event, with support from our Cirencester and Fairford offices.
Among the participants was Simon Nuttall, one of our Partners, who is well known in the steam engine community.
Although his own engine ‘9691’ is currently under repair, Simon continued to take part this summer with an engine on loan.
The rally has enjoyed strong support from local businesses in recent years. McGills sponsored the event for the past two years, and following its acquisition by Monahans, the firm has kindly taken over sponsorship for 2025.
On the opening evening, our Fairford office welcomed visitors with complimentary refreshments, including tea, coffee, soft drinks and their popular homemade chocolate brownies.
Donations were invited in support of Sunflowers Suicide Support, the team’s chosen charity for 2025.
The Gloucestershire charity provides vital help to those affected by suicide.
Simon said: “It was great to see so many people come together to enjoy the show and support a cause that means a lot to us. The atmosphere was brilliant, and we were delighted that our brownies and cups of tea helped raise over £100 for Sunflowers Suicide Support.”
The Steam, Classic & Retro Show takes place every year on the weekend before the August Bank Holiday and is established as a highlight in the local calendar.
We are proud to continue supporting community initiatives, reflecting their commitment to giving back and making a positive difference locally.
