Monahans expands into new Swindon office amidst business growth
Monahans has been serving the southwest and beyond for more than 120 years and throughout that time, the firm’s presence in Swindon has been at the heart of its business.
For the last 50 years, Monahans’ Swindon team has thrived in its Old Town offices, growing to 80 staff across a broad range of accountancy and business advisory disciplines. From corporate tax consultancy to rural business and landed estates, the firm has been proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with clients, as their trusted partner.
That commitment to the local community – and to that of Monahans’ greatest asset; its people – will continue when the firm moves office location from today. The firm will take over the ground floor of Hermes House on Fire Fly Avenue in Churchward, Swindon. Sitting opposite the national headquarters of the National Trust, these premises are prominently located within the vibrant Old Railway Quarter of the town and adjacent to the Great Western Designer Outlet Village.
Simon Tombs, Managing Partner of Monahans, said, 'Over the last 50 years, we’ve built up a very successful team in Swindon and have developed a strong connection and commitment to the community. We’re very pleased that this will continue having secured such a prestigious location in Hermes House. The new office will provide a really first rate working environment and support the hybrid working patterns of our team. It will also help facilitate our plans to grow the business by at least 10% over the next 12 months. We are very much looking forward to another 50 years of success in the town.'
The pandemic reinforced the importance of exceptional quality office accommodation so that staff enjoy the benefits of social interaction, collaboration, community and training. Hermes House facilitates these perfectly, providing 7,296 sq ft of modern, open plan office accommodation, the premises come equipped with a large, dedicated reception area, meeting rooms, a staff break-out/collaboration area, fitted kitchens and 30 parking spaces.
Monahans has negotiated the remainder of a 15-year lease and believes this is just the start. 'Who’s to say, adds Tombs 'we won’t be there, powering future business growth, for another 50 years?'
